I have worn many different hats over the years. One of my favorites was a Smokey the Bear hat for the National Park Service, but I also spent some time helping my husband in our science and nature store, and 11 years as a substitute teacher. The hat that fits the best now is my MeMaw hat, and I think my grandchildren like that hat too. I have lived all over the west. I grew up in Arizona, living most of my adult life in Colorado, with a few years sandwiched in between in Wyoming and California. Now I live in Florida. A stone's throw from both the sandy beaches of the Gulf and the wilderness of the Everglades. A new adventure for this western girl. I write because I love to. I've published two short stories, "Weigh Anchor and Truly Live" and "Where Was I Going?". I am currently working on a third. My blog is about life. The ordinary to the extraordinary. I hope you find my entries entertaining, and thoughtful. Perhaps you'll see a bit of yourself in them. Maybe they will move you to make your own discoveries, or spark something that you are passionate about. Most of the time I hope to make you smile, chuckle, or laugh out loud. Enjoy.
